First Venture from the HENDERSON Shirt Factory
There’s not really a story to this shirt other than finding a picture of Randy from a while back, having a background picture up for a project and Connor saying “this needs to be on a shirt.” He started in Photoshop and asked John if he could help him put it on a shirt. They printed it to a transfer material, heated the press to 320 degrees and pressed for two minutes and in what seemed like five minutes later it was done.

For the past few weeks in photography we have been completing word pictures. A word picture is separate individual photographs using one word. Three weeks ago, John gave me the word “movie.” That day I went around school looking for things that resembled the separate letters M, O, V, I and E. The following week I had the liberty of choosing a photographic term. My decision was to go simple and use an easy term. That week I took a spin on the word color. This last week, I photographed my full name: Breana. In my mind, photographing three easy letters (B, R and E) would have been cheating and would not have been as challenging.
Last Friday, John assisted me in printing and mounting the six individual photographs that composed my name. Based on the size of my photos (5x7) we made measurements and quick estimations. Today I cut the photos down to size using a paper cutter and then spaced the photos evenly. The final product was 100 times better than I had envisioned in my mind. My biggest concern was finding a “B” around the school. One morning, Tate came to the rescue and helped me find an object that resembled a B! |
