For those who don't know about Interact Club. (HS version of Rotary - Service Before Self).
The value of Interact: Keeps us on par with PHS/GHHS - HBHS has a better participation % than both PHS/GHHS. Opportunity for community visibility/involvement/mentorship Service hours. Networking with local business and community members & HS collaboration. Student of the Month Award (luncheon & recognition) -HBHS is being honored in Nov. Cultivates Leadership Skills (executive officers, agendas, minutes, committee chairs & Roberts Rules). Life Skills (communication, professionalism, self respect, empowerment, collaboration). "Great to see so many returning faces and always great to see some new ones..."

Interact meeting from fall of 2015

2015-16
Rotary sent three HBHS students Guatemala. Supported/Participated in December's catered luncheon. Supported HBHS fundraisers - Giving Tree, Holiday Wreaths & Moctezuma's Take-Over. Sent/Paid for HBHS students to attend RYLA leadership conference (PLU and this year, Vancouver Island) Provides scholarship money on a yearly basis. Sent volunteers to help with Habitat for Humanity. 100% supports and believe in HBHS! |
