Aidan and Solie went to Pacific Lutheran University (PLU) last weekend from Thursday through Sunday. Gig Harbor Rotary sent them there to become better leaders in their community. There they attended plenty of team building exercises. They sat through speeches that lasted for multiple hours about being a leader.
They attended a dance, sang some songs like “Earth, Wind & Fire - September” and danced with some of the people that they had met at PLU. Their sleeping arrangement consisted of sleeping in an auditorium, under bleachers, and in hallways. The days were long with them getting up around 5:00 AM and going to sleep at around 2:00 AM. Overall they had a good time meeting new people like Marco and Chris and talking to a Holocaust survivor who was giving a speech there. |
