20 students and four advisors went to the Museum Of Glass last Wednesday on the 28th. It was a great experience to go see interesting abstract art and an area called, “The Hot Shop,” where they shape the glass at very hot temperatures into all sort of different forms.
We walked across the Chihuly Bridge of Glass located between the Museum Of Glass and the History Museum to go get lunch. The covered bridge contains glass vases of various shapes, sizes and designs on the sides. And over half way across the bridge if you look up at the ceiling covering the bridge there is a collection of class objects of many different shapes, sizes and colours. Going through the museum, you learn about artists who took whatever materials and tools they had to turn it into art. Museums like this should be visited often due to that fact it gives students and children of any age the opportunity to find something that they could be passionate about and be able to be happy with doing as a lifelong job or they might just enjoy doing as a hobby when they grow up. Artist will find it very interesting to go here and look at the art revealing the creative journey called glass art. ~Story and Photos by Jai |
