Crossing the finish line of our first year publication

As we close in on the end of the year, it is not possible to credit all of the huge people who made this publication happen.

The progress of the year was like witnessing a flock of birds in flight. The inaugural staff: Fred, Chase and Bre kicked it off. Throughout most of the year Bre did the heavy lifting. For a while Coby took the lead. Toward the end Ace has been coming through. I think his open ended interview has yielded authentic feedback we sometimes need to see.

We have much to be proud of. Our style has been to cover a broad canvass with images, video and concise writing. Students and teachers have made multiple contributions. Peter's classes have been sending stories and poetry to populate the Self Expression page. Tate has added great photos for both her art classes and some of the field trips. And the ideas just keep evolving. 

We started with a few views per day. Last month we averaged 168 which for a school of 100 students is beyond expectation. And I like the informal widespread coverage. I was hoping for a window into Henderson and I think we achieved that.

Anyway, thanks to everyone for your role in making this endeavor possible..... and have a great summer.
